Intersectionality is a lens through which you can see where power comes and collides, where it interlocks and intersects. It’s not simply that there’s a race problem here, a gender problem here, and a class or diverse SOGIESC problem there.

MISSION

We are committed to:

  • Assisting individuals from marginalized communities to build their capacities in multimedia mastery.

  • Empowering individuals from marginalized communities to inflict social and political change through knowledge sharing and better representation.

  • Collaborating with sister organizations, civil society, and grassroots movements to amplify their campaigns and advocacy efforts.

  • Building bridges between various movements and working cross-sectorally to achieve justice for all.

  • Engaging with stakeholders and governments from a bottom-up approach to build their capacity and cater their resources to the service of those who carry disproportionate weights of structural difficulties and compound identities, including racial, ethnic, gender, sexuality, and ability, to name a few.

VISION

Focused on the SWANA region burdened by histories of colonialism, competing for political agendas, and infrastructural difficulties, We aim for a world where:

  • Access to human rights is undeniable and inherent in all human beings, whatever their nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, language, or any other status.

  • Those who fall under various systems of oppression have the tools to take what is rightfully theirs.

  • People from marginalized communities own their stories and shape their futures.
